Impact Renewables Group® (IRG) is a pioneering renewable energy development company specializing in establishing "Notice to Proceed" (NTP) for solar, wind, and battery storage projects. NTP marks the official approval and commencement of the construction phase.
At IRG, we excel in scouting suitable locations for new renewable energy projects and leasing land from property owners who are then free from any further involvement. This streamlined process allows us to focus on meeting the complex regulatory demands inherent in renewable energy development.
We leverage our deep understanding of the applicable laws and regulations, coupled with extensive experience, to ensure efficient project compliance. This approach minimizes costly delays, promotes our sustainability objectives, and ultimately makes renewable energy - and its vital companion, battery storage - more accessible and efficient.
Once we have expertly navigated the project - be it solar, wind, or battery storage - to the NTP stage, we then offer the ready-to-go project to a contractor. This unique business model empowers us to contribute significantly to the growth and success of the renewable energy sector.
Our Mission
IRG is devoted to accelerating the transition to a clean energy future. We strive to develop and deliver renewable energy projects that are affordable, reliable, and sustainable. We firmly believe that renewable energy is crucial to addressing the mounting challenges of climate change and air pollution.
By leasing land for the development of wind and solar projects and advancing them to the Notice to Proceed (NTP) stage, IRG plays a vital role in expediting the transition to cleaner energy sources. We further extend our influence by educating the public on the numerous benefits of renewable energy, fostering a widespread movement towards a greener future.

The Renewable Energy Industry:
The renewable energy industry is a rapidly expanding sector within the global economy. As of 2022, renewable energy constituted 20% of global electricity generation, a figure that is projected to increase substantially in the coming years. An important catalyst for this expected growth is the development and integration of battery storage systems. These systems have emerged as a vital component of renewable infrastructure, providing solutions to the intermittency issues of renewable energy sources and enabling the effective utilization of generated power.
This growth trajectory is propelled by a synergy of factors. Favorable government policies and lucrative incentives for solar and battery storage projects are one such driver. Additionally, improved efficiency and economies of scale in renewable technologies, alongside escalating demand driven by growing concerns over climate change and air pollution, are fueling this upward trend. With ongoing advancements in battery storage technologies, the renewable energy industry is poised for a promising and sustainable future.
IRG was founded by a group of business leaders and renewable energy enthusiasts who recognized the untapped potential of unused land for solar and wind energy generation, as well as the crucial role of battery storage in optimizing the use of renewable energy. With a combined experience of over 25 years in the renewable energy sector, our team is committed to navigating the complexities of solar and wind farm development, along with the integration of battery storage systems.
We work closely with utility companies, the federal government, and municipalities to drive renewable energy projects, including those involving battery storage, to fruition.

Solar Farm
A solar farm is an area designated for hosting a collection of ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) solar panels that generate electrical power. The size of a solar farm can range from as little as 10 acres to more than 700 acres. It is common for smaller solar farms to generate solar energy in the range of 2 to 10 megawatts (MWh)
Wind Farm
A wind farm is a group of wind turbines that are connected to a power grid and used to generate electricity. Wind farms can be located on land or offshore. Land-based wind farms are typically located in areas with high wind speeds, such as open fields or coastal areas. Offshore wind farms are located in bodies of water, such as the ocean or a lake.
Wind turbines are used to convert the kinetic energy of the wind into mechanical energy. This mechanical energy is then used to turn a generator, which produces electricity. The electricity generated by a wind farm is then transmitted to the power grid, where it can be used to power homes, businesses, and other facilities.
Battery Storage
Battery storage systems come in various sizes and capacities, from smaller systems designed for residential or commercial use to large-scale grid-level storage. These large systems are typically housed in designated facilities and can store several megawatt-hours (MWh) of energy.
In the context of solar or wind farms, battery storage allows excess power generated during peak periods of sunlight or wind to be stored. This stored energy can then be released back into the grid when there is less sunlight or wind, ensuring a steady and reliable flow of electricity to homes, businesses, and other facilities. This makes renewable energy sources even more valuable and effective, as they can provide power even when the sun isn't shining or the wind isn't blowing.
If your land comprises at least 15 connected acres, it could be a candidate for a solar and/or wind and Battery Storage development. Our evaluation process involves checking the land's suitability with utility infrastructure, its closeness to a power station, and any environmental or agricultural concerns, such as wetlands, protected plants, and wildlife. We pay attention to the land's topography, aim to preserve existing vegetation, and steer clear of wetlands and streams. By discussing the landowners' future plans, we ensure that our solar farms are properly sited
The income generated by a solar, wind, or battery storage project is determined by factors such as the property's features, the utility's needs, and the payment rate for the produced energy. Regulations vary across states and utilities, which can range from investor-owned utilities (IOUs). Many property owners have reported higher earnings from their solar farm compared to traditional land farming.
At Impact Renewables Group, we are dedicated to developing projects that maintain the area's integrity. To assess any potential impacts, we work with expert appraisers in each state. There is a common misconception that ground-mounted solar farms lower nearby property values. However, an examination of property values in various states reveals that large-scale wind turbines or solar installations do not have a measurable negative effect on adjacent property values, and they may even positively influence them. Furthermore, solar, wind, or battery storage projects do not hinder the sale of nearby agricultural or residential land, indicating that solar farms are compatible with these types of land
The development timeline for each solar, wind, or battery storage project is unique and can range from 18 months to a few years. A solar and wind farm needs to undergo various internal and external processes with approvals, such as environmental assessments, land use evaluations, in-depth technical designs, and utility authorizations. Furthermore, federal and state policies can influence the project development timeframe. When the construction of your solar and/or wind farm starts, the building phase is estimated to take anywhere from 2 to 10 months, based on the project's scale.
You are not responsible for any of the costs or actions required to decommission the solar, wind, or battery storage project. The Tenant bears the complete responsibility for decommissioning and removing all equipment situated above ground level. The process for decommissioning is comprehensively explained in the lease agreement between the Tenant and the landowner. Once the lease period ends, the land can be utilized for agriculture or other activities
We strive to be in constant communication with our customers until the job is done. Please use the form to have one of our experts assess your lands solar potential, or call us for any questions about converting your Land or business to solar. We look forward to serving you!
